Rampant Speculation on the eBays...

...Dana Altman will be named the new head coach at Iowa by noon tomorrow. Purely speculation at this point, though.

UPDATE: OK, maybe not. Kevin McKenna's move for the Indiana State job (to be announced today) is a bad sign; he was long thought to be the heir apparent to Altman at CU.

I'm an alum of both schools and live in Omaha. McKenna's leaving could also mean he's been told that Dana is leaving and CU will look outside the program for the next coach. But McKenna was fairly successful as a head coach at UNO, and there has to be some reason he came back to CU as an assistant when he probably could've gotten a head coaching job at a midmajor school when he left UNO acouple of years ago.

I've heard pretty much the same thing (I'm originally from a small town outside CB, my parents are CU grads, and my dad was a season ticket holder for a while). McKenna was supposed to take over when Altman eventually left. I've been hoping for Altman at Iowa since Davis left. I'm now openly begging Barta to get it done.
